Dear Anne,

I’m a planner. Based on what you’ve written on LinkedIn and what I’ve seen on your site, I thought I’d give this a go.

If I were to try your services, what benefit is there for me? And why should I ask my team to give you a shot?

Yes, most of what you say resonates with me and the team. The fixed CPM pricing is unique - the curation company we currently use charges a revenue share. I understand why, but I’m keen to hear your take on why a fixed CPM is better, given most curation solutions use a rev-share model.

We’ve also lost people from our team (as most have), so the Time-as-a-Service angle is interesting. I’m guessing this is some sort of mega-deal ID setup? I’d love to hear more about that, too.

Not the most thrilling letter, I know, but if you get a chance, I’d love to hear your take.

Yours,

One Pained Planner.

Thank you for getting in touch. I appreciate the honesty. Not every letter has to be thrilling. Sometimes, a quiet weep for help is exactly what gets me out of my burrow in the morning.

You ask some cracking questions, so pour yourself a pint, take a breath, and let’s begin.

Why Fixed CPM is better:

I like to know what I’m paying for, and I suspect you do too.

Fixed pricing means no mystery margins, no blind spots, no awkward feelings of getting a good deal whilst having a sneaky suspicion you're being mugged.

In essence, it's true transparency over fees. And it actually delivers better value. With a fixed CPM, more of your budget goes to working media, not middlemen. We’ve done the maths (so you don’t have to), and the difference stacks up.

Clear, consistent pricing. Upfront. Like the good old days when pints were £2.50 and a Meal Deal was under £4.

Time-as-a-Service:

It’s our way of saying: we know your team’s down to one planner, a freelancer called Karen, and an intern who keeps asking WTF a DSP is.

So we bring the pipes. Pre-curated inventory. Plug-and-play deal IDs. Mega ones, mini ones, Goldilocks ones. Build-your-own ones. It’s completely up to you.

In essence, we give you smarter planning tools and fewer emails.

The crux of it is this: we’re not here to razzle-dazzle. We’re here to help you do your job better. With fewer processes, less nonsense, and more time for a game of pool and a packet of Mini Cheddars down The Marquis.

Hold steady, dearest planner. And if you’d like to explore our services further, I’ll put you in touch with our humans. They may not be as sharp as us aardvarks - and I can drink them all under the table - but they do have a few brain cells between them. Plus, they’re slightly more socially acceptable in public.

I’ll introduce you to our founder. You’ll like him. He is Welsh, but we can’t have it all.

Love,

Anne
